Description of the job
About the role As an Aquatics Project Manager at Yarra Ranges Council, you will take the lead in managing two aquatic and leisure contracts across seven facilities, and three splash parks. You’ll lead asset renewal projects, operational upgrades, and contract management, collaborating with industry experts to ensure high-quality, safe, and sustainable facilities. This role gives you the opportunity to contribute to the community through delivering exceptional aquatic and leisure services across the Yarra Ranges municipality.
What you’ll bring to our team To be successful in this role, you will have:Experience in project management, including the delivery of asset renewal programs and facility upgrades within aquatic and leisure environments.Strong contract management skills with the ability to oversee partnerships, negotiate budgets, and ensure compliance with procurement guidelines.Extensive knowledge of aquatic facility operations, plant equipment, OH&S, and relevant regulatory requirements.Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders and responding to community needs.Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration, building partnerships across teams and external organizations.Capacity to anticipate challenges, manage risks, and drive innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
