At Mars Wrigley, home to iconic brands like Skittles, Snickers, ECLIPSE and Maltesers, we’re on the lookout for a passionate and hands-on Project Engineer to help us shape the future of manufacturing across Australia.
In this exciting role, you’ll support and contribute to capital projects that power innovation, elevate sustainability, and drive asset performance across our two manufacturing sites in Ballarat, VIC and Asquith, NSW.
What You’ll Do
As a key member of our Regional Engineering team, you’ll:
- Support a mix of large-scale and smaller capital projects — delivering them on time, on budget, and to the highest quality
- Develop innovative engineering solutions aligned with best practices and Mars’ Engineering Work Process (EWP)
- Own project budget management and ensure financial governance
Ensure safety, quality, and food safety (Q&FS) standards are met during project execution - Collaborate across functions to secure resources, align stakeholders, and solve technical challenges
- Drive successful project start-ups without disrupting production
- Be part of a supportive, high-performing team that values culture, learning and continuous improvement
- Minimal travel may be required to our other manufacturing facility in Asquith.
What We’re Looking For
- We’re looking for someone who’s as passionate about engineering as they are about making a real difference:
- Degree-qualified in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related)
- 3+ years’ experience in engineering roles, ideally within food or FMCG environments (but not essential)
- Strong project management skills with a focus on results
- Effective communicator and confident stakeholder manager
- A problem-solver with a growth mindset and a love for learning
- Recent graduates with learning agility are also encouraged to apply
