Mountain High Thai is a modern Thai fusion restaurant located in the heart of Monbulk. Known for our warm hospitality, authentic flavours, and vibrant atmosphere, we are looking for friendly, reliable and customer-focused Wait Staff to join our front-of-house team. Junior staff are very welcome to apply — we are happy to train motivated individuals eager to learn.

About the Role

As a member of our wait staff, you’ll be the face of our restaurant—greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring a positive and enjoyable dining experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and manage table seating

• Take orders accurately and deliver food and drinks efficiently

• Provide menu recommendations and answer customer questions

• Handle payments and operate POS systems

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining area

• Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff

• Ensure high standards of service and customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred but not essential

• Friendly, professional, and well-presented

• Strong communication and people skills

• Able to work evening shifts Thursday to Sunday

• Ability to stay calm during busy service periods

• RSA Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

• A team player with a positive attitude
