The Employer & The Role
Our clients are a family-owned business located in the Wimmera Region of Victoria, operating a broadacre cropping farm that spans 2,300 hectares. They produce wheat, barley, lentils, faba beans, and oaten hay, utilising a modern fleet of John Deere machinery and a Case Sprayer with Greenstar and Trimble technology.

They are currently seeking a skilled farmhand to join their team. The farmhand will be responsible for carrying out daily tasks in a safe, responsible, and efficient manner. This includes participating in all aspects of the cropping program, such as spreading, spraying, sowing, and harvesting, while also contributing to farm development and improvement.

The role involves operating, servicing, and cleaning machinery, as well as upholding the company's standards. The ideal candidate will work effectively and cooperatively with the farm manager and independently, demonstrating forward-thinking, proactivity, politeness, and a willingness to contribute to the growth of the business.

They are located just 20 kilometres from Warracknabeal, a town that supports a vibrant community life with amenities such as schools (including a Secondary College), shops, cafes, pubs, sporting clubs, a racecourse, and golf and bowling clubs. Essential services like supermarkets, a pharmacy, a post office, and fuel stations are also available.

The larger centre of Horsham is just 50 kilometres away from the farm. Horsham boasts excellent facilities, including the Horsham Aquatic Centre, a top-rated golf course, diverse dining options, and quality schools.

The Ideal Candidate
Ideally, you will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, along with the following skills and qualifications

• HC or MC licence
• Chemcert
• High attention to detail and the ability to keep records
• Strong communication skills
• Be motivated and work efficiently to meet deadlines
• Must be able to work in a team environment and on your own as needed
